Bio/CV

ANYA WARD (b.1975, United Kingdom) is an artist living and working in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Anya’s mixed media paintings are process-driven and are a response to her personal paradoxical journey into non-dualism and embodiment. Anya describes her process as being a conduit for something beyond thought – Connecting with Infinite Intelligence, she allows line, colour, and form to emerge intuitively across layered surfaces using acrylics and found tools for mark making. Recently, Anya has introduced looped sound frequencies into her studio practice, expanding her visual language into multi-sensory forms. As multi-sensory beings, Anya is interested in people ‘experiencing’ a painting and she’s currently exploring immersive technology and field recording with Immersive Arts UK funding.

This evolution aims to transform two-dimensional works into immersive, spatial experiences that foster wellbeing and deepen emotional connection through audience-focused design.

Anya exhibits in contemporary art galleries around Wales and the UK and has her work in private collections in the UK, Europe, US, Canada and Australia.
